Import from Twitter / X

Your X archive can contain the phone numbers and emails you synced with Twitter / X. Bring those contacts into your own list.

   Ask Twitter / X for your download

   Sign in, then open Settings and privacy → Your account → Download an archive of your data. Confirm your password and verify your identity if asked. Click Request archive.

   Open Twitter / X's download page

   X emails or notifies you when your archive is ready. It can take 24 hours or longer.

   Find the right file

   Download your file when the network says it is ready. Open the zip by double-clicking it on a Mac, or right-clicking and choosing Extract all on Windows.

   Open the data folder and find contact.js. Upload it as it is; there is no need to open or edit it.

   This file contains synced address-book contacts, not your followers or following list. It may be empty if you never synced contacts with X.

   Import the file

   You'll see a preview first. Nothing is saved until you confirm.

   Choose contact.js
